An Insight of Women Health Issues

More than half of the US population is of females, but the medical research has neglected their issues for so long except than the reproductive matters. It is perhaps a misfortune because diseases have different impacts on females as well as males.

It is more likely that women die from the strokes as compared to men. Women dying from Alzheimer disease are twice more than of men. Three quarter of women suffering from autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis are common diseases among women. Testing is a significant tool and prioritizing the women's health according to the medications is important to consider.

For last few years, significant contributions are made to reduce the mortality rate in women suffering from breast cancer, cardiovascular diseases and cervical cancer. It requires more awareness programs and additional research for improved screening and treatment.

Limited research is done for depression, HIV, Aids and Osteoporosis. There are steps taken to reduce the unintended pregnancy, maternal morbidity, mortality, drugs addiction, gynecological, lung and cervical cancer. Increased awareness helps to overcome the shortcomings of traditional medicine problems. It has an impact on the development diagnostic and drugs for women.
With maturity, the risk for medical problems in women increases. There is proactive screening in the form of pap tests, pelvic examination, and other health care problems are addressed along the way. There are personalized diagnostic treatments and personalized medications that help in effective treatment through early diagnosis, prognostic capabilities and successful prevention efforts.
The demand for health diagnostic tests and pregnancy and ovulation testing is increasing. The bone densitometer in females is growing and shows a growth of 6%. About 80% among 10 million Americans women are osteoporotic victims. The current trends in the health industry are favorable for the women as the diagnosis is becoming relatively easier. Next few years will bring intensification in the health care industry emphasizing on the informatics, wireless communications, cost effective healthcare delivery and data networking. The women health issues should be handled with great care because they may lead to complications. Awareness needs to be created for the collaborative treatments.
